| Our next destination was the town of Delft, famous for its blue
china. The town is located between Rotterdam and Den Haag. If you
wish, you can take a long tour to one of the many porcelain factories
located in the outskirts of the town. We had settled for a walk on
the main pedestrian-only street in the center of the town. There too,
you will be able to find china, and even see sketch artists and sculptors,
sitting and working. The pedestrian-only street is colorful, filled
with little stores, which mainly sell porcelain work. Near the town
center, and right next to the pedestrian-only street, there is a large
parking lot. It is recommended to park your car there. Across the
street, there is a tourist office, where you can obtain information
about the place. Next to the parking lot, there is the new Church
of Delft - Nieuwe-Kerk. Admission fees are charged, for those interested
to enter. Generally, the town is very sweet, and is worth a visit. |
